Red wine and candle wax stains are some of the toughest stains to get out of your carpets. Here are a few suggestions to help you to get out those stubborn stains from your carpets.
The first step you will want to take when red wine is spilled on your carpets is to immediately blot the spill with absorbent cloths. Then sponge or spritz the red wine stain with cold water and blot dry. Next sponge the area with a mixture of 1 Tbsp each of white vinegar and liquid dish soap in 2 cups warm water. Lastly, rinse again with cold water and blot dry.
Another stubborn stain is candle wax, and to treat candle wax you will want to do the opposite of the red wine stain and wait until the candle wax is cooled completely. After the wax cools, try to gently scrape off as much of the hardened wax off as possible. Next, place paper towels on top of the wax and press with a dry warm iron. After this cools, fluff fibers with fingers.
