Observing wildlife can be very entertaining and intriguing, but most of us prefer not to do so in our own backyard. While wildlife usually stays away from humans, there are certain things that can attract them into your living area. What they usually seek is food, shelter, and water. Since we end up throwing out things that could serve as food for an animal, the garbage is usually one of the more tempting things we put out there for a wild animal.
The sense of smell of some animals is so much more advanced than that of a human so that they can pick up on food from miles away, and if they are accustomed to finding it near our home, we shouldn’t be surprised if we see them become a frequent visitor. Closing up your garbage in a shed can help, and some choose not to put out any food garbage until it is closer to the time of garbage pickup.
