How does the handle to your toilet look? Is it sagging a bit, not working as well as it used to? Maybe it is just old and looks dated, not fitting in with the decor of your bathroom? Well, there is good news for you! Replacing your toilet handle is not very complicated or time consuming. As long as you make sure you turn of the water supply before you start, you shouldn’t have any major issues.
Most toilet handles are attached the same way, a simple nut sits on the inside of the tank holding it in place. The handle will be attached to the flushing mechanism, which in most cases consists of a chain attached to the flapper. Disconnecting the chain should let you remove the handle and insert the new one. Before closing the toilet up and turning on the water, make sure the chain that connects to the flapper is the correct length.
